Emergent Now Available With FirstNet, Converging Connectivity With Telemetry to Increase Situational Awareness

SPRINGFIELD, Ore., May 9, 2024 -Today, Emergent, Fire and EMS software provider, announced that it is certified for use on FirstNet, delivering a reliable, highly secure solution to further public safety capabilities and strengthen incident response. The collaboration between FirstNet, Built with AT&T and Emergent builds on a shared mission to support the first responder network with innovative, industry-leading technologies. Working together, Emergent and FirstNet bring a solution to public safety agencies that solves challenges from over the past decade surrounding connectivity and operational efficiency.

“Our team has been hard at work building a solution by and for first responders,” says David Blankinship, Emergent President. “In the face of emergency, public safety must be equipped with the strongest solutions on the market, including robust, perpetual connection. While first responders are busy on the job saving lives, they shouldn’t have to second-guess their trust in software and connectivity. This is one of the many reasons we’re thrilled to see Emergent’s embedded solution with FirstNet come to life.”

FirstNet is designed with and for America’s first responders and the extended public safety community that could be called upon to support them. FirstNet is evolving based on the needs of and feedback from the public safety community, driving purposeful innovation to help them stay mission ready. And by adding Emergent to the FirstNet ecosystem, firefighters and paramedics have more access to the critical information they need — every day and in every emergency.

Emergent joins the FirstNet ecosystem through the FirstNet Embedded IoT Program, which allows organizations to integrate FirstNet into industry-leading FirstNet-eligible devices. This creates a single, end-to-end solution for FirstNet-eligible customers. FirstNet embedded solutions go through an extensive review process to ensure they meet the highest standards for reliability, security, and performance.

“We’re pleased to welcome Emergent as a member of our FirstNet IoT Embedded Program,” said Matt Walsh, assistant vice president, product management and development, FirstNet Program at AT&T. “This allows us to further our mission to deploy, operate, maintain, and enhance the only nationwide wireless platform dedicated to public safety and the extended community that supports emergency response — including fire and EMS.”

Emergent joined FirstNet onsite for FDIC International 2024 April 18 through April 20 at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium to meet with fire departments and public safety influencers from around the world to showcase its solution.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
